A superbly beautiful piece
I ordered this as a bit of a splurge when the last installment of my student loan and it arrived today and I couldn't be happier with it. The size and detail on the model fully justifies the price and although the shipping costs were a bit much I can fully understand why they are that high(arrived within 3 days to the UK from the US). The model is a lot bigger than I envisioned in my head and for its size is superbly detailed (it even has the in game attributes listed on the box which is a nice touch.
I would whole heartedly recommend this to any collector or long term fan as it is an exquisite piece.
AMARR VICTOR!!!

More info?
Well i've been thinking about buying one of these models, but the info i recieve from this page is not nearly enough to justify 125$. How much is metal? Are the Wingy-Bits of the Tempest of plastic? Will they break into a thousand pieces? Is the paintjob properly attached to the model or will it start to fall off?
I mean seriously this is alot of cash, we deserve to know what we are paying for.

So glad I bought this..
The pictures don't do this justice, It's an absolutely gorgeous model. Highly detailed and satisfyingly weighty, it's definately worth buying if you love Eve and collectibles enough to justify the price tag.
I'm so impressed that i'm considering buying the Megathron as well... Well done CCP!

majestic, but unreachable
Being a long-time fan of all kinds of starship models - which happen to be a rarity in my home country, i got excited the first time i heard about models of EVE ships.
To be honest, i was thinking they are going to be clumsy, small, and undetailed replicas. When i finally saw the photos of these models i was in awe, they are far beyond my expectations. All four battleships look very good, i'd like to have one even of those i do not like in the game.
My choice is - or more precisely - would be of course the Amarrian Apocalypse, being an Amarr-fanatic. But here comes the downside: I honestly think the models are severely overpriced, which makes them unaffordable for many of us. A model of comparable size can be bought for the fraction of this price even in my country, and they are probably even cheaper across the big pond. And i am not even thinking of the shipping cost.
So in the end, it is a very impressive model, something a true Amarr definitely would like to stand on his desk, but she's sadly, an overpriced majesty :-(
Hail to all Amarr pilots! o/
